Here a just a few of the many tips in our eBook
Masking Fluid
Here are just a few of the invaluable Tips that you will find in our “Charcoal Drawing Secrets & Tips” eBook.
- Is it OK to use white charcoal for the really white areas of my drawing?
Tip: Don't use white charcoal. It is very unnatural looking.
Your drawings will suffer and, there is a better way.
- How do I protect my drawing and keep my white areas white while I am drawing?
Tip: Use a Latex masking fluid, mostly the type used for water coloring,
to keep your white areas white. Most good fluids have a little
non-staining color added so you know what areas have been masked,
some flow promoting agents to help get the fluid into small areas, an
added thickener to make the flow a little more controllable.
- How do I apply masking fluid?
Tip: To apply the fluid, dip a brush into soapy water before dipping it
into masking fluid. This keeps the fluid from actually touching the bristles
of the brush. Do Not Use your GOOD Brushes for this. They will be
ruined. When you are finished, the dried fluid rubs right off with an eraser.
We guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
