AAUW's Community Action Grants One-year grants provide seed money for new projects
that promote education and equity for women and girls, or that address the particular needs
of the community and develop girls' sense of efficacy through leadership or advocacy
opportunities.
The Avon Foundation, an accredited 501(c)(3) public charity, was founded in 1955 to
improve the lives of women and their families. Now celebrating our 50th anniversary,
the Avon Foundation brings this mission to life through two key areas of focus: the fight
against breast cancer and support for women’s empowerment, including economic
advancement and a special focus on the issue of domestic violence. In addition, the
Foundation has supported special national and international emergency disaster
relief with a focus on affected women and children.
The BPW Foundation provides financial assistance to disadvantaged women who
wish to advance in their careers, or are soon to enter or re-enter the workforce. The
Foundation has awarded more than $6 million in scholarships, grants, and loans to
over 8,000 women seeking to improve their lives. Basic qualifications are that you
must be a female at least 25 years of age, a US citizen or US national, officially
accepted into an accredited program or certificate program at a US college or university.
Individuals
There are two key FHLBank housing programs which provide members with grants
and other low-cost funds to finance housing. The Affordable Housing Program
(AHP) is a subsidy program that provides grants and interest-rates subsidies on
loans to members. The Community Investment Program (CIP) for housing is
a lending program in which member banks and thrifts borrow advances (loans)
at a discounted rates
The Home Ownership Participation for Everyone is a national real estate industry
awards program that recognizes individuals and organizations that are making
outstanding contributions to increase minority homeownership in America.
The BALANCE BAR Grants provide financial support to enthusiasts and amateur
athletes who passionately pursue activities that enrich their lives. Any amateur
athlete 18 years of age or older and U.S. citizens may apply. For the purpose of
this grant program, "amateur" is defined as persons who have not competed in t
heir proposed athletic activities as their main source of income.

The U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid (FSA) programs are the largest source of student aid in America, providing nearly 70% of all student financial aid.
