Grants.gov is THE single access point for over 1000 grant programs offered by the 26 Federal grant-making agencies.  Here, you register for email notifications, electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all Federal granting agencies.

2.Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance  
The online Catalog gives you access to a database of all Federal programs available to State and local governments, federally -recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals.

3.Federal Citizen Information Center 
The Federal Citizen Information Center (FCIC) provides FREE Consumer Information and nationwide toll-free telephone assistance centers.

4.Grants to Individuals 
This is a compilation of funding opportunities for individuals, such as financial aid or scholarships for students, rather than funding for nonprofit organizations.

7.The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA)  
The MBDA is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce created to foster the establishment and growth of minority-owned businesses in America.  The MBDA actively coordinates and leverages public and private-sector resources that facilitate strategic alliances in support of its mission.

8.Federal Register  
The Federal Register is the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents.

9.FREE Grant Writing Tool  
Now that you have found that grant that you want, how do you go about applying for it?  This great tool was developed by the EPA to make it easier for applicants to produce more competitive grant applications.  It's a step by step guide with examples, downloadable forms, etc.  Don't miss this one.

10.SBA - Starting a Business 
Contrary to popular belief, the Small Business Administration does not offer grants to start or expand small businesses, although it does offer a wide variety of loan programs.  The few grant programs that the SBA does offer are designed to expand and enhance organizations that provide small business management, technical, or financial assistance.  The SBA also administers the New Markets Venture Capital (NMVC) Program which provides debenture guarantees and operational assistance grants to supplement the private capital.
